it's kind of funny that on my last trip to New York, I got every single negative stereotype about the city confirmed to me within just one day: -I saw a guy pissing on the metro -the streets were full of garbage -there were cops with rifles at one of the metro stops for some reason, just standing around -my friend, who I was visiting, lived in some hipster ass part of Brooklyn that was somehow both sketchy and insanely upscale
