With the referendum as an excuse Berlin’s far right parties found common cause and were able to push political placards everywhere for weeks (normally not allowed).
With the continued rollback of cycling infrastructure, the political positioning here could become a flashpoint but it’s hard to see.

Every referendum in Berlin has been a waste of time and there’s nothing progressive happening in the city. The only point of hope is that all these parties are interchangeable and the vote is completely split. That could allow for some opportunities if smart political operators could be found.
