Without huge oil, coal and gas profits to subsidise it, mining can no longer be made artificially cheaper than closed loop resource use. Where we "mine" our own waste flows (and all the old dumps that are being exposed anyway due to climate change) instead of mining unspoiled environments. @Okanogen@mastodon.social @gerrymcgovern@mastodon.green
