I couldn't help noticing that National City Bank, who president Charles Mitchell was on trial for tax evasion following the 1929 stock market crash, went under at the end of 2008 following that year's housing bubble collapse.
The second Glass-Steagal Act of 1933 was written directly in response to Mitchell's financial practices. By July of 2008, the company's management had been speaking with regulators about their risk management practices.
I just wonder what kind of practices occur today.
