Grocery store had restocked Hot Wheels. They didn't have the new one I'm looking for (Cadillac Celestiq), but they did have this guy, and I feel obligated to buy anything Corvair-adjacent, no matter how ridiculous. #WeirdCarMastodon #164scale

This new "Vairstrike" follows in the footsteps of two earlier Hot Wheels Corvairs. Customs are never my favorites, but for many, many years, the "Vairy 8" (released in 2002) was the only accessible 1:64-scale 1965-69 Corvair out there. Then a few years ago, HW put out a very nice premium Yenko Stinger casting; this new one goes much wilder than the "Vairy 8," with a dash of Stinger styling in the partially blanked rear windows. #WeirdCarMastodon #164scale
