@colin_mcmillen@piaille.fr I would have guessed that one should be able to quote any post type that one can boost. I.e. a pixelfed photo, an article from wordpressghost etc or e post posts with polls.

@aslakr@mastodon.social No, in order to avoid toxic behaviour like ridiculing someone's toot or pushing one's followers to harass somebody else. They explain how it will work here: https://blog.joinmastodon.org/2025/09/introducing-quote-posts/ It will also be possible for people to manually accept or refuse a quote-boost, and to retro-actively cancel one. I think it's a good safe stance on the subject.
