@mms@mastodon.bsd.cafe Mississippi (and Alabama) in particular are going to have racist interpretations of existing laws. What might be immediately flagged elsewhere might get ignored if it's just in a mostly black population area. Note the involvement of the NAACP, which works to fight racism
