@memoriesin8bit@mastodon.gamedev.place I'm pretty sure it's an electron app, meaning it's a chromium web browser displaying (mostly) locally-generated pages. It used to be that you could bring up the console panel and modify the pages to give you more control over the look and feel (I used it to change the size of the channel panel), but they locked that away about a year ago.

@StarkRG@myside-yourside.net It's also weird how when I load up Discord in my browser (granted, not a Chromium one), that memory usage is a lot better. Dunno why the app itself sucks so much.
