@stephaniewalter@front-end.social I hate to grumble once again about this, but I feel like this is another person who just asked for the output and never considered alternatives. Asking LLMs to review your spec and ask questions about things missing in your design is brutal. They always come up with: simple things I missed, things that may need thinking about, and things that are so left field they make me reconsider the whole project. And they'll keep working on the design forever if that's what you want!

  • @viraptor@cyberplace.social I think it's based on the usage that many people who want to replace designers by AI have: prompt a full page, check 3 results, pick one, be done for the day. I like your approach of using it as a though partner to challenge you. Silly question though: how do you stop, as you said, you could work on a design forever. Do you have things in place to avoid looping up to burn out?

@viraptor@cyberplace.social Sadly this is what enough people to be a problem do. Output looks great, done. If they *know* to ask the LLM to review the changes (I've done this too, it's great but yes sometimes brutal), if they *know* they can ask the AI to check for security, accessibility or other issues - then it's a great partner! I had Claude outright lie to me the other day while trying to troubleshoot and issue though, and that sucked. @stephaniewalter@front-end.social
