I feel like homebrewed retro games are gonna make a surge. A creation kit for random folks to make their own N64 games got released recently. apparently the same sort of thing exists for gameboy because someone released a gameboy-compatible rom for a fanmade gameboy animal crossing game on itch.io. (link by the way: https://richterwilker.itch.io/animal-forest-gb-folk ) And I'm not even looking for this stuff specifically, it just rolled onto my dash. I just get the feeling this is gonna go off sometime soon, if it hasn't already.
