@siracusa@mastodon.social to be fair I caught it at the end, something along the lines of "there are other ways to do this" - I just think JSON is a particularly poor example now because it is quite trivial to generate valid JSON (as opposed to say, generating valid Swift or Rust) In fact, Claude Code and other harnesses rely on this fact, because tool calling happens via JSON schemas - so the whole thing wouldn't work if structured JSON output wasn't essentially solved at this point
