@dragonminded@chitter.xyz lasyweb question if you've got a crazy taxi cab: I swear the dreamcast version of that game featured a boost when rapidly shifting between reverse and drive, but never got it to work on a cabinet. Am I misremembering a feature, doing it wrong, or was that not implemented on the cabinet version?

@fundamental@social.treehouse.systems Oh shoot, I'd meant to reply to this and then completely forgot to check my bookmarks. Crazy boost, crazy drift, crazy stop and also limiter cut are a HUGE part of the meta on arcade. The timing is slightly different than on the dreamcast version. Fun fact, I can't get the timing down on the dreamcast version. But yeah, this is in the original arcade version (which runs on the Naomi, which is an arcade version of the dreamcast hardware) and it's the key to getting scores above a few thousand.
