@middleclasstool@phire.place at 65, you start walking the tightrope between "if I do deep-knee bends, will my knees give out?" and "if I don't do deep knee bends, will I be able to get up when I fall down?" I have become a student of knee-popping sounds.

@CadeJohnson@toot.cat @middleclasstool@phire.place I offered to play percussion in a band, just using my knees. They didn't even wait till I turned 65, the treacherous bastids.

@CadeJohnson@toot.cat @middleclasstool@phire.place An unmotorized kick scooter* has done wonders for my ability to do deep knee bends. Highly recommend if you still can. *like the ones that all the kids have, only bigger. No motor. Do all your own kicking. Knee bends to reach the ground to kick.

@CadeJohnson@toot.cat @middleclasstool@phire.place It got to the point when we did mat exercises with our trainer when I was working out with hubs I started joking, "don't get down without a plan to get up!"
