@mathias@metalhead.club What helped me most was reverse-engineering real songs — figuring out *why* a song uses a bVII or a borrowed chord, not just memorizing scale degrees.
I use chordroom.com (260k songs, ad-free) to browse by genre and spot patterns. Seeing how jazz uses ii-V-I vs pop vi-IV-I-V made theory click way more than textbooks.
Also worth checking out Hooktheory TheoryTab for the analytical side!
