@kevinbowen@hachyderm.io Given downstream's unwillingness to honor the will of the developers they depend on (after multiple years of discussions asking them about it), devising a technical solution around downstream's lack of compliance, as this thread brainstorms, *is* working it out. Proactively eliminating a portion of the problem is the furthest thing I could imagine from being a victim, short of more radical means that nobody wants to resort to. @jorge@hachyderm.io
