I've been learning to make my own scents (perfumes) solely for me, I don't intend to go commercial. I have a couple of patchoulis, some ambergris analogues, smokey ingredients like tonalide, also cashmeran and boiseambrine. I am having a lot of fun making working dilutions and testing them on my wrist whilst I sit at my desk and I make notes on the profile and behaviour of the accords. I notice my favourite blend so far is essentially a "coal tar soap" smell. Which makes me LOL but I like it.
