@andypiper@macaw.social If you're looking for something chromium-based, then Vivaldi is probably the best choice. And holy shit, Gemini is dumb as a sack of bricks (not that it's surprising but since it has the highest chance of staying around due to Google being able to tank the loss, whoo boy)

@andypiper@macaw.social And probably best to switch away from Google Search too if you ask me. Might I recommend Startpage if you value Google indexing, otherwise DuckDuckGo is a proven contender. DDG also has their own AI built into the search engine, as an optional feature you can disable, like it always should’ve been. And theirs seem to actually function unlike Gemini. And I’ll vouch for Brave while I’m still here, it’s problematic in some ways but it is still a good baseline. And open source too.
