@skillstopractice@mastodon.social I’m not sure I grasp the distinction. To me it looks like terms for more or less the same thing just from different eras. Program feels more complete, finished. But that’s probably an artifact of its time. Back in the time you couldn’t have a daily auto update so you had to ship at least somewhat finished thing. Now software is ever changing, in constant flux, but still every instance is a complete “program”.
