@MuseumShuffle@mastodon.social I used to work at an international airport. I had to ask a man why his passport had his surname as (single letter), while his boarding pass had his surname as (that same single letter, but twice). The airline system was programmed with a two-letter minimum. Because they "knew" nobody has a one-letter surname.
