Certainly, it was a different time back then, but the huge spying incidents related to the US nuclear program had already happened. It boggles my mind that Los Alamos National Laboratory would just hand out any hardware to third parties, rather than just destroying it.

    @harrysintonen@infosec.exchange I wonder how many of those computers (and tapes) did end up with anyone wanting those secrets. Probably easier/cheaper to just pay people for the information. Crazy how common it has been over the years. Just look at Aldrich Ames and Robert Hanssen.
