Trailer: A damaged Arwing tears high across Corneria's blue sky. It bellows out fire and dark smoke. Fox wrestles with the failing controls. Falco: There's nothing more you can do with that heap, Fox! Bail out! Fox slams the eject button on the Arwing's glitching console. The frayed, broken wings eject off the cockpit, revealing a small set of guiding fins. The remaining armor plating snaps against the cockpit. The transformed Arwing resembles an escape pod. It picks up speed and hurtles through the clouds. Cut to: third person view. the player guides the pod to the quickly advancing planet surface Slippy: Projecting crash location... Fox: Crash? Peppy: You're getting chased by the enemy, Fox. Outmaneuver 'em! The pod picks up speed, does barrel rolls, avoids enemy fire, deploys countermeasures, chaff, etc. SLAM! The pod crashes on the outskirts of a futuristic city, under attack by a massive enemy fleet. Slippy: Touchdown! Fox: Ug. 'Touch'. Right, Slippy. Fox kicks the cracked pod door open, hops out, pulls out blaster. Rob 65 crackles into the communication: Coordinates locked to Fox McCloud --- Landmaster Mark II drop in 5... 4... 3... 2... 1... BOOSH! Titanfall-like mech version of the Landmaster drops (it can turn humanoid and also turn into a tank) --- The game is a sort of sequel to Starfox 64 with the mechanics of Starfox 2. No Lylat System. Just one planet - Corneria. (Don't worry. There will be plenty of space battles.) The villain? Well, who's a great rival in the universe who hasn't been THE big bad? "Can't let you do that Star Fox." I dunno. Seems pretty no brainer. Star Wolf finds Andross's leftover robot fleet and does an all out ASSAULT (wink) on Corneria. Star Fox gets its butt handed to it minute one and has to reclaim the planet. Open-world, Mercenaries style game play with classic Starfox on rails shooting and "all range mode", depending what vehicle you hop into. The game map is always changing (always "real time") with every move you make, just like in Starfox 2. Reclaim cities and territories. Unlock new pilots, fighters, tech, upgrades. Reclaim the planet. Defeat Star Wolf. Something different, yet familiar. #nintendo #starfox
