@hetzner@mastodon.hetzner.social out of curiosity, is there a reason for the slanted roofs on the Hetzner buildings?
I recall also seeing that in an old der8auer video tour of Hetzner. I don't think I've seen US data centers do that.

@chris@nutmeg.social Of course! :) The sloped roofs of our data centers aren’t just for looks. The sloped design helps direct warm air upward and out of the data center. Inside, we carefully control the airflow using raised floors, cold aisle containment, and other measures, and the roof’s shape supports this natural flow path. Since warm air naturally rises, the sloped roof creates a high point where warm air can collect and be efficiently vented. -Lea
