Finally watched Portrait de la jeune fille en feu (Portrait of a Lady on Fire). A very sparse and beautiful romance that builds up to be an absolutely devastating and layered piece of art. It helps watching with an English Professor to peel them back afterwards. I really liked how the initial clandestine looks needed to paint the lady in question mirror and turn into a forbidden love story. The extremely economical use of music also makes it so powerful when it hits.
