Booked an Airbnb for Wellycon. It's in Wellington, paid for in NZD out of my bank account that is also in NZD. Come the time that the bill was due, surprise! International transaction fee! It turns out that overseas processing of transactions now come with this fee regardless of currency used, at least at Kiwibank. I don't suppose someone wants to start an NZ-only equivalent to Airbnb that works like TradeMe...?
