@rygorous@mastodon.gamedev.place My inclination would be to only enable this on known existing devices. Future devices will certainly change, but it’d be good to get some guarantees about devices that are already out.

@castano@mastodon.gamedev.place @rygorous@mastodon.gamedev.place new drivers on old devices can change things too so companies probably won’t tell you that it works today. You need to get som sort of runtime query mechanism in place so they can opt in / out. Like vulkan extension.
