@intrepidhero@vmst.io I once attended a sermon with a rich white guy and came out of it with a completely different interpretation of it than he did. Not just a difference of opinion, but he thought he had heard the complete opposite of what I had. Some people hear what they want to hear and nothing else.

@Lironah@mstdn.games for sure. It's always been distressing to me how many people can read the gospels and come away thinking the wealthy, powerful, and religious are god's chosen. The red words are not subtle on that point.
