We've been observing the #starlings on the roof of the old house we are holidaying in, in the Southwest of #France. The parents were careful not to expose the chicks that were hidden behind the gutter.
This morning the little #birds were out & about. However, 2 managed to make it inside the house (probably through cracks from their nest), and were flying around the room with the highest ceiling. We opened all the windows and are hoping that their parents will guide them outside again.

One of the two baby starlings found their way back to their nest. The other one seems a bit clumsier and is still exploring the open beams and glass roof elements without finding the one crack that leads back to their siblings. This must be the one we observed yesterday, as they were trying to enter the nest very awkwardly and uncoordinated. #birds #BirdsOfMastodon #starling
