@harrysintonen@infosec.exchange @thedarktangent@defcon.social but where do you register your domain? Even if you point it at your nameservers, it sits with someone. Isn't that a weak spot? I almost feel it is a mistake to not use a gmail.com where you can at least be pretty sure the owners will not accidentally drop it (and probably even get it back if they should). What do you recommend?

@hc@mastodon.africa @harrysintonen@infosec.exchange If I didn’t run my own mail servers I would pay for email someplace, not a free account. That way I could talk with a human if necessary, not have my email used for the advertising tech, etc.
