@ZaneSelvans@social.coop It's an ideological thing: renewables are irredeemably "woke" (viz they work) and therefore any state relying on them has necessarily weakened its precious bodily fluids and is thus less of a power/force/threat/whatever. They'll come crawling for American oil, just you watch. /s
