Google wants to lock down Android devices by banning apps not installed through the app store. Every app developper would have to pay Google and submit to ID verification. This is simply unacceptable. Google's proposed workaround for sideloading unverified apps requires 9 steps, a mandatory 24-hour waiting period, and is delivered through Google Play Services, not the Android OS.
