@lennybacon@infosec.exchange @rotnroll666@mastodon.social gpdr is pretty powerful when it comes to personal data, and they do have a section on their site where you can download your complete data.

In Germany we call it „zahnloser Tiger“ (teethless tiger), because there are regulations, without default penalties (like for instance a speed ticket) and each and every case requires an individual investigation (maybe even a court trial), it’s only punishable if you/your data personally suffered (if I just observe there is something wrong nobody cares), and the prosecutors (if we can call them so) are underfunded and understaffed. The idea is great. What we have is a step into a good direction, but it’s a long road to go…
