Maybe there should be a happy medium, but this is now the world we live in, thanks to grifters like Sam Altman

Poorly programmed scrapers seem to just fetch the anubis page over and over, which doesn't help with DoS mitigation, while the scraper eating a GNUzip bomb does. My servers are free.

There are many other methods of stopping scrapers. This is extremely bad for accessibility and I consider it exclusionary for many people who want to contribute to free software, but now can't do.
