@sean_ae yeah and I feel the arrogance of a human deciding that what their senses can perceive is enough of a basis for deciding if other beings are "conscious". also fully aware of the contradiction in feeling a duty to reduce meat consumption because of a (possibly imaginary) connection to some cats, but the little guys couldn't care less and are burning through more than a compensatory daily quota of fish
