The mourning has already started for Destiny and, by extension, Bungie. Starting on a D3 now means we probably wouldn't see it for 3–4 years or more, which would mean Bungie has to survive on what's left of D2 and Marathon income (which is already deep in the red), on what is already a stripped-down development team after the previous round of layoffs, and already subject to massive writedowns for Sony. It's not looking good. Skeleton crew and Destiny Classic? Spin off what's left? Shutdown?
