I ran through it twice and it doesn't seem CYO nor massive. Most choices appear to have no bearing on anything. Approaching the final battle differently gives no feedback either way, and both runs ended with thinly-veiled-self-insert Merlin lecturing me about having failed. At no point is there any telegraphing of a meaningful second option, let alone a different path. The only choice you have is the tone you take when talking to people. He says "gamers" wouldn't like it, but since Fallout 4 players now count as those, and FO4 dialogue also consists solely of "Yes", "Yes, sarcastically" and "Yes, but I'll be an asshole about it" dialogue options, those guys will fit right in!
