@Saposcat@mastodon.social I also edit as I go, especially the obvious stuff like misspellings or turns of phrase I don't like on second glance. The novel I'm writing now is part of an MFA program thesis. We were required to write the rough draft over two thesis courses and then edit the manuscript during the third and final course. I had a series of unfortunately timed emergencies in course two, so I have a lot of filling in to do, and I think the highlighting method might help salvage parts I rushed through.
