@Jyoti@mas.to A lot of the blame should go to Twitch and YouTube as well, as Google and Amazon found it cheaper and easier to police the language across the board than to actually ban users making harmful content. The hate they espouse was good for business so they couldn't possibly ban Gamermoment1488 for his 'conservative beliefs' as he had 5 million followers! Easier just to wag a finger and have his personal rep tell him to use euphemisms in future, while 10k sub documentary makers covering LGBTQ+ topics or the rise of white nationalism either have to talk gibberish or be banned with no room for appeal, and go week to week hoping earlier content isn't struck retroactively as new words and topics are banned.
