@ppatel@mstdn.social For years, my home folder name has been the first five letters of my account email, which don't make a word and are just plain annoying. I don't know how this ever became a thing in the first place, let alone why it took this long for Microsoft to even start looking at fixing it.

@alexhall@mastodon.social Even though the name for my new folder is the first three letters of my first name, it broke so many things when I transferred over files from the old computer. things that relied on the old folder name had to be edited. I finally ended up writing a script to go through files and change references.
