@Euan@speedlines.stctp.zone He's quite anti-tech so FB and EBay aren't ideal options. We don't know any pawn shops worth dealing with. The only one in town offers fractions of a cent per dollar to the desperate, indebted, and desperate. So they're right out. Simply giving to charity is on the cards, it's just that as one of those three "d-categories" himself, a bit of extra cash would be welcomed. I think mostly he'd like to be in a position to know how much these things are worth so he knows how much he might be giving to charity or binning. Cuz it's always frustrating to throw something away and discover later on it was worth a non-trivial amount to the right people.

@nikink@aus.social Right, okay! Well, eBay's good for checking the value of these things. Could scroll here for a bit to get a sense of what collections of a similar size sell for together (but basically, they are worth something!): https://www.ebay.com.au/sch/i.html?_nkw=star+wars+kenner+figure+lot&_sacat=0&_from=R40&_trksid=m570.l1313 (and knowing that Kenner is the company that made the figures from the 70s through to the 90s might be a help for doing that kind of research!) Are there any flea markets/swap meets/car boot sales/yard sale days where he might be able to sell them? Or any businesses/malls with community pinboards where he could put a printed out ad flyer for people to reach out to him?
