@nikink@aus.social I would second gifting it to someone young who'd be thrilled to have them.
Some thoughts in terms of making him some cash:
•Facebook Marketplace can sometimes work out, fairly easy to set up a listing, but I've had several bad experiences dealing with people on there, I find it attracts a bad crowd.
•Selling on eBay can be good for getting the best price, and generally attracts a less pushy/rude crowd of buyers, but it can also be a hassle to set up and to mail them off.
•A pawn shop that sells toys/collectibles would be minimal hassle and quick, but would probably be on the low end in terms of the price he'd get.

@Euan@speedlines.stctp.zone He's quite anti-tech so FB and EBay aren't ideal options. We don't know any pawn shops worth dealing with. The only one in town offers fractions of a cent per dollar to the desperate, indebted, and desperate. So they're right out. Simply giving to charity is on the cards, it's just that as one of those three "d-categories" himself, a bit of extra cash would be welcomed. I think mostly he'd like to be in a position to know how much these things are worth so he knows how much he might be giving to charity or binning. Cuz it's always frustrating to throw something away and discover later on it was worth a non-trivial amount to the right people.
