shot in the dark i guess has anyone else had issues using an original htc vive with displayport on an nvidia gtx 10 series card? neither windows nor linux seem to detect it when i connect it to the mini displayport on the link box, and steamvr shows a 208 error

i'm aware there were some issues with this at original launch, but it's my understanding that these issues were supposedly fixed with a driver update nearly a decade ago i've also tried updating the card's displayport firmware to no success

@esm@wetdry.world this is just what my vive does every time, the only fix I've found is to just unplug the usb, power, and video out from the link box. wait 10 seconds or so, plug it back in, then plug the vive's stuff into the link box. 50/50 chance it works after that.

@esm@wetdry.world never had luck with my vive using anything other than hdmi without any adapters and the hdmi cable that came with it. i always have to unplug one of my monitors to free up the hdmi port

i remember having issues with it not being detected frequently when using it with a gtx1060 over mini displayport as you described, but like, i somehow managed to get it working by screwing around with the ports i think? i dont really remember, it's been a while
