Indeed, I initially thought @mjw@mastodon.nl was making a joke-patch for 'ln', which is where the confusion started. In fact, mjw made a ha-ha-only-serious patch to 'ls'.

@bkuhn@fedi.copyleft.org @mattskala@mstdn.io @wouter@pleroma.debian.social @vagrantc@floss.social Turns out for soms reason the coreutils testsuite expects ls -l outputs forward implication x -> y instead of the imho more correct backwards implication y <- x. So some testsuite tweaks will still be necessary.
