@ireneista@adhd.irenes.space @alwayscurious@infosec.exchange the way we always have done it / seen it done, is both parties switch off their cars, and the key to avoid most of the hazards, besides "don't short out the cables", is that you complete the circuit with the negative clamp on the live car somewhere away from the battery.

@atax1a@infosec.exchange @alwayscurious@infosec.exchange it's been something like 20 years since we've had to do this, so our memory is hazy. fortunately it's a lot easier to get an actual expert-friend around to advise, than it was in the 90s when we thought we'd have to learn this skill for lifelong use...
