No-one is forcing you to use signal.
If it doesn’t suit your needs or your risk profile you can.. just not use it. That’s ok.
This has blown into something out of proportion and you’re actively looking for reasons to be argumentative.
Signal isn’t for you - that’s ok. Choice is good.

Signal would’ve been a nightmare for spoofing, fraud, and all other kinds of abuse if it didn’t use phone numbers. Matrix XMPP decentralization is a pipe dream for purists who don’t actually have anyone to talk to.
