After days of having internet that barely worked, and going back and forth with the ISP's tech support, I finally convinced them that the issue was very likely with the router itself, and they came and replaced it. Internet is working perfectly again now. This is the 3rd router this place has had since I've been here. If the provider used a CPE box that converts the fiber line into an Ethernet connection like the one back home does, I could just plug my own router in and be done with it, but because they insist on using a router that connects directly to the fiber line, I'm at the mercy of whatever cheap garbage routers they provide. Hopefully this one lasts a bit longer anyway.
