If it helps I can put together one or two drafts for an icon (crossed out envelope or such) sometime. Not dying to do it, but happy to contribute if it's of use. (after all I instigated this :))

How about some way of checking how many subscribers you have without having the unsubscribe number visible? Put it a different place or something? Just thinking out loud here as it would be nice to be able to hide the whole thing :)
