@phs I've been using Ubuntu on Lenovo (starting with x201 up to x1) for 10+ years on linux and eventually switched to HP x360 for coding. I code in Go. It runs Debian 12 in a VM and it's very fast. The laptop sleeps correctly. All hardware works. External monitors, etc, no fiddling. The drawbacks are: - Nested virtualization is slow. - FUSE doesn't work, so I expand my AppImage. I'm mostly using it in text-only mode anyway. I understand why you'd rule out but it's better than people say.
