got called a "git wizard!" at work today and few epithets can so thoroughly emphasize the mistakes I have made in my career path up to this point as a NASA contractor (pro tip sometimes you just gotta specify the whole SHA1 when you're fetching stuff that no longer has a branch but somehow hasn't gotten pruned by the remote git garbage collector)
