If the clock comes back up during unlock, unlock has silently failed. This is a smartcard unlock so removing and reinserting the card stops it from being a soft-lock; I don't know if other auth methods would require a reboot.
Win11's quality has fallen off a fucking cliff. I might need to ask NASA for a non-Windows option and see what they'll offer.
