Also, in relation to a recent thread by @AnthoDerv@famichiki.jp it uses romaji rather than furigana or hiragana. However the example sentences are given with kanji. It wasn't revised to use kana instead. (or have a toggle setting for readings like Kodansha Kanji Learners Dictionary iOS edition)
Not that I could see it as a textbook for a student who is reluctant to use kana.
The advanced volume just uses Japanese with some furigana.
